There are two color versions of this design. The framed version is stitched on 40-Count Seaweed from Fox and Rabbit. The Drum version is stitched on 40-Count Paperbark, also from Fox and Rabbit. Both are stitched with Needlepoint Silks over two threads of linen. The needle and thread in the bird's beak are worked in straight stitches. All other stitches are cross stitch.
A note on framing this design: I extended the bottom portion of the bird so that when framed, this part would be under the bottom lip of the frame. This is optional. If you don't like this look, omit the bottom four rows of stitches of the bird.
For the Pin Drum, Squash Velveteen was used for the top and bottom and Licorice Rick Rack was used for trimming; both from Lady Dot Creates.
Needlepoint Silks used for the framed version are: 513, 692, 693, 991BB, 993.
Needlepoint Silks used for the drum version are: 224, 475, 993
The stitch count is 172 Wide by 69 High.
Thank you!
